Guardians of the Ribbon - North Carolina, also known as NC Pink Heals, is the first of three NC chapters of the national Guardian of the Ribbon, Inc / Pink Heals Tour, a 501c3 non-profit organization. While we are a registered non-profit corporation with the State of North Carolina our 501c3 status is still pending approval with the IRS.
We believe that ALL women and children that face cancer, regardless of type, deserve HOPE, LOVE, SUPPORT, and RESCUE. Through our "Cares Enough to Wear Pink" program that we give, for free, to local Fire, Police, EMS, Elected Officials, Community Leaders, and Cities they can show their women/children, our women/children, that they are putting them 1st in the fight against ALL cancers by wearing PINK shirts and holding fundraisers. The funds raised by theses departments must stay local, helping the women and children of their communities. To help support a department's fundraiser we, NC Pink Heals, will bring our Pink Fire Truck named "Kayla" to their event and provide them with our artwork for free. Yes you read correctly... We said FREE... We do not charge anything for our program, fire truck, or artwork. We do not take a percentage of the funds raised at the events we attend, no one is getting paid for their work with NC Pink Heals either. The only thing that we ask is that when we attend an event that we can sell our t-shirts to off set our operating cost.
